We are looking for dedicated Playworkers to join our team and support our weekend popup events and after school programs. While experience in child development or early childhood education is preferred, it is not required. We seek individuals who are passionate about providing children with space, time, and materials for true child-led play experiences, and who are physically capable of handling heavy, larger loose parts.

At Rooted in Play, Playwork is central to our mission. Our dedicated Playworkers focus on creating engaging environments that empower children through child-led play. Playworkers are required to be available for a minimum of 1-2 Saturdays a month and will undergo comprehensive onboarding. New Playworkers will be provided with tools and resources necessary to support their Playwork practice. This independent contractor position offers competitive pay rates starting at $40 per hour and provides flexibility for individuals to tailor their role according to their availability and passion for promoting child-led play. Join us this spring as we recruit and onboard a new cohort of Playworkers.
