Rooted in Play is thrilled to present our new initiative: Popup Playgroups. These engaging sessions provide a unique opportunity for small groups of children to immerse themselves in a world of exploration, creativity, and play.
Our Playgroups offer a more focused and intimate experience compared to our free monthly popups. With a maximum of 10 children per playworker, we are able to provide personalized attention and tailored activities that cater to the specific interests and needs of each child.

Group 1: Tinker Time (Ages 9-12)
Date: Friday, March 8th
Time: 4:30pm - 6:00pm

Calling all young engineers and builders! In this playgroup, children aged 9-12 will have the opportunity to explore the world of tinkering and construction using large loose parts. From creating towering structures to designing imaginative inventions, this group is all about hands-on exploration and problem-solving. Our experienced playworkers will be there to guide and inspire, encouraging children to unleash their creativity and build something extraordinary!
Group 2: Wonder Art (Ages 5-8)
Date: Friday, March 8th
Time: 4:30pm - 6:00pm

Let your child's artistic expression soar in our Process Art playgroup designed for children aged 5-8. With an abundance of interesting loose parts art materials and canvases, children will have the freedom to explore various art techniques and create their own masterpieces. From painting and collage to sensory art experiences, this group celebrates the joy of creativity and self-expression. Our playworkers will be on hand to support and encourage each child's unique artistic journey.

Registration and Payment
Registration is required to secure your child's place in the playgroup. A suggested donation of $15 is recommend to cover staff and materials. Pay what you can.
Once you’ve submitted the sign-up form and your donation, we will confirm your spot in the group.
Refund Policy
Please note that refunds will only be provided in the event of an emergency or illness, as we aim to maintain the intimate and personal nature of our playgroups.
Limited Availability
To ensure a close-knit and personalized experience, each playgroup is capped at ten children. This allows for meaningful interactions and the opportunity to get to know each child.
Sign-up for a Rooted in Play Popup Playgroup
Join us Friday, March 8th from 4:30 to 6:00pm at MacFarlane Park. We will have two groups running simultaneously. One for children ages 9 to 12 and one for children ages 5 to 8. We have 10 spots available in each group. These groups are donation based. Pay what you can to help cover the cost of playworkers and materials. Siblings will be given priority as sign-up. A parent or caregiver must remain on-site for the duration of the group.
Once you’ve submitted the sign-up form AND your donation, we will confirm your spot in the group. Please be sure to fill out each section entirely.
We will be in touch via email with the details before your group starts, including information about the location, your Playworker, and what to expect. We look forward to watching your child play!
